THE LAST EXORCISM--BEWARE

Exorcism's are something that we have heard about for decades but for Reverend Cotton Marcus, this one will be his last. Journeying to a small town in Louisiana, he finds himself dealing with a young woman names Nell who has been acting strange; and her father is convinced that she is possessed with a demon or demons. Trying to heal the many people that Cotton has over the years started to wear his beliefs in God thin, and he has long since deserted his faith. The things that he had once believed in and helped him battle against the evils that lurk among Earth have not been so apparent in his life for some time. By filming a documentary of Cotton performing the exorcism on Nell; will be his final one. Both knowledgeable in the area and with a long history of performing these tasks; this one is different. Nothing could possibly of prepared him for what happens or how terrified he would become. Blood splatters sprinkled throughout the family farm should of been the first sign for Cotton to go in the opposite direction. He has chosen to fight the Devil and let's hope to God he is able to overcome him.

What would you do when you awake in the middle of the night and suddenly realize that your life is not in the right place? Would you pretend it is alright, or muster up the courage and do something about it? Liz GIlbert, played by Julia Roberts, is faced with just this. On the outside she might appear happy with her home, career, and husband-- but something is missing. Big leaps in her life land her into a box of travel pamphlets and brochures that she has been collecting for years.  Wanting the most out of life she embarks on a truly life-changing and inspiring journey. Eating her way through Italy, praying her way through India, and finding love and balance in Bali she hope to become the person that she looks into the mirror and loves. There are wonderful messages and things that are brought to light in this movie that can be inspiring to a woman at any age. It is never too late to get what you want out of life, and that is something that at a crossroad in her life, Liz is about to find out.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is the best movie nobody saw this year! If you are from the nintendo generation (and frankly the BEST generation), then this movie is definitely for you. It has everything from Legend of Zelda music, to a Seinfeld homage, to an all out bass battle, and even some random cameos. A big factor that makes this movie so kinetic and fast paced was the pitch perfect directing by Edgar Wright, of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. In a recent interview, Wright mentioned that he never shoots the same shot twice, and it shows, in a good way. The casting was excellent and they all had great chemistry with each other and made the characters their own; characters that made the book so popular and memorable. The music itself is noteworthy and will stick in your head long after you've left and finished the movie. Like Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World will be talked about for a long time and become a cult classic. Unfortunately, the box office will mean this will get a swift kick out of theaters, so see it now. GO!!

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Is this the “brotherhood of man” that John Lennon dreamed of? Eh, not unless Lennon accounted for mass killing. The main character Ezio battles Cesare Borgia (Pope Alexander VI’s son) in Rome. Ezio isn’t in this fight alone, you might find characters you haven’t seen since European history: Leonardo da Vinci and Niccoló Machiavelli. Sadly you will have to wait until November 16, 2010 to have Ezio storm Rome.

Halo: for our parents it represented Angels.  Now?  Not so much, unless you include the angel of death.  The world of Reach is more dangerous than walking drunk around your campus’ police station.  The controller layout has changed but the headshots have not.  The beta has already hit Xbox Live but be prepared for the full version on September 14, 2010.

Marvelous Spider-Man conquers the future?

In Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, four different versions of Spider-Man fights some of his past foes, including the Hobgoblin.  While the game is set in the year 2099 we still get to enjoy the Spidey we grew up with and the one we know now.  Get a glimpse of Peter Parker’s future starting September 7, 2010.
